POSITION YOUR SELF FOR BLESSING
Main Text: Psalms 84:11
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly”.
Proverbs 3:10 “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first-fruits of all thine increase: so shall your barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine”.
All through the scripture, we read that God wants to bless us. We often wonder why God is taking so long a time in blessing us as He promised. First, we need to understand that God’s love is unconditional but His promises of blessing are not, it attracts certain prices.
Abraham would have died without being the father of faith if he had remained in Haran (see Genesis 12:1-2). He obeyed God and was positioned for blessing. God’s blessing seems to be taking long time before getting to us because we delay in getting into the blessing position. Just as the quarter back will not throw the ball until his receiver is in the intended position to receive.
As the year progresses, all we need to be blessed is (1) Make up our heart to forgive those who offend you (Matthew 6:14-15). (2)Determine to make a fresh commitment to love God by studying His word and prayer (Acts 6:4) (3) Learn to give all to God, your tithes and mission offering (Malachi 3:6-12). (4) Determine to serve God without reservation (Matthew. 28:18-20) (5) Be humble and ask for God’s blessing (Matthew. 7:7-12)

Prayer: Oh Lord in this year 2020, distinguish me from the crowd and reposition me for your blessings.
