TRIUMPH OVER THE ENEMIES
Main Text:- 2 Corinthians 2:14 – But thanks to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession In Christ and who through us, spread everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.
Psalm 25:2 – I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
Victory, not defeat should be the norm in the Christian life. God sees every believer as being in Christ, whom He raised from the dead and seated “at His right hand…far above all principality and power” (Eph 1:20-21).
Because he is the victor and we are “in Him”, we too can be victorious over sin and our enemies. In the storms of life, we must place our trust in the Lord and cling firmly to the sure promises of His word.
Our confidence in God should be so steadfast that no matter how severe the trial, with Job we can resolutely affirm “though He slays me yet will I trust Him (Job 13:15). And to those who trust Him He gives His perfect peace (Is 26:13).
Although the enemy will roar like a lion, temptations may follow and other squalls of life may strike us, when we trust God, He assures us of His presence. He controls our lives and upholds us with His righteous right hand. We may not dodge the storms or the enemies, and the wind may still blow, but the master of the wind and storm is with us.
As we trust and believe Him, He will either calm the waves or quiet our hearts. He saved Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego from the fiery furnace because they trusted that He will rescue them (Dan 3:1-18). Our voyage through time and into eternity is too treacherous to attempt without God’s help. Unless the Lord Jesus is the captain of our ship, we will never make it safely to the heavenly shore.

Prayer: Lord God Almighty, guide me to trust and obey you, so that you will rescue me from my enemies.
