THE WINNING WAY
MAIN TEXT – 1 John 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God, overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
Numbers 13:30-31, But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.” Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.”
God is commanding you and me, today, to live by faith in our daily lives. The men in the scriptures that are celebrated today were men who lived faith as a lifestyle. Life is full of battles which you must fight and win. It could be financial, unemployment, sickness, childlessness, and family challenges etc. Whatever battle it is, the weapon to conquer it is your faith in God’s word.
The battles do not last forever, they all have expiry dates. That is why you should not give up but live in expectation of what God is about to do in your life. Don’t fix your eyes on your obstacles, like the ten discouraged and fearful spies, who instead of seeing their big God rather saw their giant enemies and therefore lost faith and hope.
These spies left for the mission with zeal. They must have probably worked very hard so that they will be selected for the mission and for them to have been chosen, they were tested and proven men. But during their assignment, they saw failure and fear and also spoke failure, and they eventually did not make it.
OUR FAITH IN GOD IS THE EVER WINNING WAY.
PRAYER: By faith in God, I win every giant-opposition against me. I will enter into my promised Land and I will not stop midway in Jesus’ name, Amen.
