STAND IN THE GAP
MAIN TEXT – Psalms 106:23—Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
Hebrews 7:25 – Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
Stand in the gap for your brethren always, to stand in the gap is to intercede for someone. This is expected of all believers. This is the act of intervening or meditating between different parties, particularly the act of praying to God on behalf of another person. When last did you pray for somebody, how often do you do it?
Jesus Christ is ever present in heaven to intercede for those who come to him. Hebrew 7:25. The risen Christ will maintain His intercession for the believer, being the mediator between God and humanity.
Hallelujah! Christ is interceding for us. And we ought to stand in the gap for those who are weak, sick, backsliders, and unbelievers.
When there is an intercessor in the family, God is always in charge to make sure His glory remains upon the family. An intercessor stands daily before God. Pray for somebody today, ask God to save that sister or brother, that unbeliever needs prayers. As you wake up to this call today, God will bless you.
STAND IN THE GAP THROUGH PRAYERS—IT’S A GOOD SEED
PRAYER: I pray for divine intervention for everyone who requires help. Grant the requests of prayers to those expecting miracles in Jesus name Amen.
