Mountain of Prayer
Main Text: James 5:17 “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are , and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months”.
Ezekiel 22:30 – “ And I sought for a man among them that should make up the
hedge; and stand in the gap before me for the land that I should not destroy it, but I found none”.
Brethren, prayer is a very indispensable tool or weapon that you need to change the spiritual, political, and physical environment that is around us. Prayer is an intelligent discussion between you and God. Whatever you want to receive from God, by efficacy of your prayers, Heaven will hear you. The word of God says “come let us reason together”, you come with a repentant spirit, contrite heart, and God will hear you. In Acts 12, when the church was in jeopardy, the authority then was killing people.
They killed James because they were not praying enough. They were relaxing, not saying God have mercy on us, our families, Imo State, Nigeria. They arrested Peter and kept him in prison. The church now knew the importance of prayer, and prayed earnestly and God sent His Angels to release Peter from Prison. (Acts 12:5- 9). Some of the pillars we need to apply for our mountain of prayer to yield results are:- Righteousness:- We need to examine ourselves and come to the point of righteousness. The prayer of the righteous availeth much. Don.t condemn yourself according to Romans 8:1.
– You should have faith. -You need Boldness in your prayer life. (Joshua 1:8).
– You need to persevere in your prayer life. Pray all manner of prayer, and
then add praise and seed sowing or seed of faith, and thanksgiving to God.
MOUNTAIN OF PRAYER IS A MUST FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN
