Be Open to godly Advice

Be Open to godly Advice

Main Text: Proverbs 15:22 – “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed”.

Proverbs 19:20 – “Listen to advice and accept instruction and in the end you will be wise.

These days of high level of materialism, falsehood and selfishness, it.s hard to get good pieces of advice nevertheless; one still needs to be open to other peoples. opinion and ideas. We need to learn from other peoples. experiences and knowledge if we must to succeed. We must make room for others to make their own input to our lives. But it calls for you to be discerning in order to decipher good from bad advice.

Sometimes certain counsels may not sit well with us but in order not to miss out on the real thing; try to listen with calmness to what is being said. Advice is like bitter leaves which are bitter when you.re chewing for the first time but sweet when swallowed. At the point of delivery and reception, it may sound bitter and unacceptable but persist and chew it well, you.ll get the truth. The bible tells us, with advice people succeed! So don.t say I don.t need their advice. You do! But be mindful of those who advice you.

People can be evil minded. Beware of them. Let those who advise you be among believers in the Lord Jesus Christ even those among these too, there may be wolves in sheep clothing. Make your pastor your first adviser. You may be good at what you do even better than most but without the help of others you may not reach your full potential.

VICTORY IS CERTAIN IN A MULTITUDE OF GOOD COUNSEL.
