RESPECT, DON’T REJECT

RESPECT, DON’T REJECT

Main Text: 1 Corinthians 9: 22-23 (KJV)

“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some”. And this I do for the Gospel.s sake that I might be partakers thereof with you”.

Romans 15:5-7 – Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

For any relationship to work, we must accept each other.s difference. Within our family and in the church, we must respect each other.s unique perspectives. We don.t need to agree on every issue but we must always honour where the other person is coming from. Paul did that.

Some of us who claim to follow Christ, have a hard time with views and values that differ from our own. We think „compromise. is a dirty word. Some of us have turned from the most immoral life to faith in Christ, yet after our conversion; we will not associate with us and adopt our new found values. It is our job to love people, and it is Gods job to change them, so we should stop trying to do only what God can do. We owe each other love, and respect and not rejection.

LET THE GRACE TO ACCEPT OTHERS BE RELEASED ON US TODAY.

Prayer Point: Father give me a large heart to accommodate others in Jesus Name.
