REPORT TO GOD
MAIN TEXT: 1 JOHN 5:14
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him that if we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us”.
Deuteronomy 4:7: For what great nation that has God so near to it… for
whatever reason, we may call upon Him.
Report to God means bringing one’s thoughts, complaints, problems,
difficulties, trials to the Lord, trusting and believing that He will respond in
His favour, because there is no problem or issue that is impossible for God
to treat satisfactorily. God cares about the affliction of His children. 1 Peter
5:7 says, “Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you”.
Report to God can be made through various forms – thanksgiving, confession, supplication, intercession, complaint, and so forth, directly or indirectly through Christian brothers, sisters or men of God. In whichever way you choose to make it, one thing is crucial, when you make your report to God, have confidence and be rest assured that He will take care of the situation. God does not abandon His children in times of trials and difficulties; rather He ensures that we are released and relieved of all unpleasant situations that confront us. The psalmist (37:5) advised that we commit our ways to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. If you invite His presence and acknowledge Him in all you do, surely success and good result is guaranteed. Whatever your problems are, commit them in His hand because God’s hands are mightier than yours. Reporting to God demonstrates our absolute trust in Him. He does not renege.
COMMIT ALL YOU DO INTO GOD’S HAND; YOU WILL SEE GOD’S HAND IN ALL YOU DO.
