Forgiveness is a key
Main Text: Mark 11:25 “Jesus says, “And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses”.
Acts 7:60A “And he kneeled down and cried with a loud voice, Lord; lay not this sin to their charge”.
When God commanded us to forgive, He didn’t mean it would be easy for those who have not learned to forgive. Forgiveness is a spiritual thing and needs spiritual means to achieve, mostly by prayers .God wants you to forgive your neigbour for all hurts, aches, abuses and disappointments. By receiving and considering the devil’s thoughts of resentments, your heart may have become hardened; but with God’s help, you can forgive. I am sure you are not perfect. Jesus taught, “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors… But if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will your father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:12, 14). It is to your advantage that you forgive anyone who hurt you. If you don’t forgive, you are holding yourself down; you can’t afford not to be free. The heart that loves God will forgive, such a heart possesses the nature and character of God. This type of heart will always win, no matter how rough and long the battle is.
We should emulate some characters in the bible that sowed seed of forgiveness because they trusted God. Such like Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers. He re- assured his brothers that he had forgiven them and promised to take care of their families. (Genesis 39:1-9).
Stephen, a man full of faith and Holy Spirit, He preached Christ boldly. They stoned him, but before he died, he forgave his murderers and prayed for them (Acts 7:59-60).
Jesus Christ our Lord was crucified and hung on the cross. Before He died, He forgave those who killed Him and prayed for them (Luke 23:34)

Please Lord fill me up with the Spirit of forgiveness so that I will forgive those who had offended me in Jesus name Amen.
