I shall not slide
Main Text: Mark 13: 35 “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at evening or at mid night or at the cock crowing or in the morning”
Revelation 3:21 “To him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also over cometh, and am set-down with my Father in His throne”.
Beloved of God, I shall not slide means. I shall move easily, smoothly, quickly, patiently and quietly in my Christian Race, and I shall finish well. Starting a journey to a great, destination is such a nice experience, but it is no use if the journey does not end at the expected destination. It is not a pleasant thing that of the, about six hundred thousand footmen who left the land of Egypt among the Israelites, only very few of them got to the promised land (Exodu12:37, Number 32:11-12).
This should serve as an example and a warning to every child of God running the Christian Race, in this end time (I Corinthians 10:11), Ezekiel 33:18 should be food for thought for every child of God who plans to meet the LORD, at the last trumpet. We must consider what goes into our hearts and what comes out of it. We must consider what we feed our eyes with and ears on. We must consider our speech, our mode of dressing, what we eat and drink, and the kind of company we keep. If you will end your journey well, you must be steadfast in godliness. I pray that we will finish well and not fall by the wayside in Jesus name Amen.
