BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES.
Main Text: Psalm 34:1 “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth”
Ephesians 1:3 – Blesses be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ”
Irrespective of what you have experienced all these years, whether trials or victories, pain or gains, disappointments or appointments, hardships or abundant supplies, Joys or sorrows, promotions or demotions, good health or sickness, give thanks to God. For as a song writer Linda Randle puts it “God on the mountains, is still God in the valley”. When things go wrong, he will make them right, and the God of good times is still God in the bad times. God of the day is till God in the night. He will surely put you through your trying moments.
Begin to count your blessings one by one and you will be surprised what God has done in your life. As you do this, you will discover that despite the harsh economic situations, disappointments and challenges, there is a lot to praise God for. In fact you will find out that you cannot thank God enough for his countless and unquantifiable blessings in your life.
Reasons abound why you should thank God. Firstly, He deserves our praise because of the gift of life. You may be dissatisfied with the way things are with you now. Even then he is the reason your heart is beating right now. He is your creator and Lord. Secondly, we should praise God for his undying love, unending mercy and matchless, infinite grace; And of course salvation. Thirdly, Praise him for his numerous material blessings. He has freely given you what have sustained you and also his abiding presence and power with you.
WHEN OUR HEARTS ARE FILLED WITH GRATITUDE TO GOD, HE FILLS OUR HOME WITH HIS GOODNESS.
Prayer Point: Oh Lord may my heart always be filled with praises for you at all times. Amen
