My Inheritance in Christ
Main Text: Psalm 16:5 (KJV) “The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup; thou maintain my lot”.
Colossians 3:24 – Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Every child of God has got his inheritance in Christ, which is eternal life after here on earth, and even riches while alive because the Lord assures us of giving us all that pertain to life and godliness. 1 Peter 1:3. Again he promised us the treasures of darkness, and the hidden riches of the gentiles Isaiah 60: 5-16). It is not like we are to live a poor and wretched life here on earth but all that we need to make life, worthwhile, has been provided by God. All we need to do is to ask and it will be given to us.
We need not compete with the world in order to acquire wealth because God has given us the power to make wealth, he is our inheritance, he makes a way, where there is no way, he knows the way through the wilderness and all we have to do is to follow, the lines will fall unto us in pleasant places and we all have a goodly heritage – Psalm 16:6
