BE THE LION OF GOD
Main text: 2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Ephesians 6:11 – Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Beloved, you are welcomed to today’s devotional with the Holy Spirit and He wants you to be the lion of God. Heavenly race is not measured by how far but how well.
The bible says that the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first (Matthew 19:30). Here calls for carefulness, perseverance and love which surpasses all things. It calls for demonstration of faith and consistently preaching the gospel both to individuals and multitudes without fear.
Apostle Paul risked his life for the gospel. He traveled through many territories, faced oppositions and tribulations, yet, he still maintained that it is only in union with Christ should there be hope of salvation for the world.
Beloved, the relay baton has been handed over to you. Be courageous, take up your cross daily and defend the gospel of Christ. (Luke 9:23). Live exemplary lives that when people see you, the see Jesus Christ in you.
Wherever the law of man conflicts with those of God, you should adopt the posture of Jesus disciples saying boldly, „we must obey God rather than men‟- Acts 5:29. Let everyone display faith, consistency and run with endurance, the race that is set before us.
TAKE UP YOU CROSS DAILY AND DEFEND THE GOSPEL.
Prayer point: Lord, strengthen me daily to continually fight for the gospel, in Jesus name, Amen!
