Topic: What shall I render?
Text: Matthew 25: 23 (KJV) “His Lord said unto him, well done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things; enter thou unto the joy of thy Lord”
Second text: Romans 14:12 (KJV) – So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
This text reveals the parable of three servants who were given talents who were given talents of five, two and one respectively; their master after which travelled to a far country, and on his return demanded for accountability. God created every man with gifts and talents which will use to serve Him.
Jesus is the Lord and Master of our life, and on His return, will demand accountability on how we used the gifts were given from us. The question we should now ask ourselves is what are we doing with the talent Jesus has given to each of us good or bad things? Are we faithfully using it to enhance the kingdom of God? Or are we like the servant with our talent who buried his own? Mathew 25: 24 – 25. One of the servants who abandoned the talent given him by his master was severely punished and cast into the outer darkness.
Will your life account to God earn you eternal rest with God or bring damnation?
Prayer : May God help us understand the need for using our talents productively and to God’s glory
