LOVE, DO NOT WITHHOLD IT

FEBRUARY 2, SATURDAY

TOPIC: LOVE, DON’T WITHHOLD IT

MAIN TEXT: Beloved, let us love one another; love is God and anyone that loveth is born of God and knoweth God- 1 John 4:7-8 (KJV)

Second text: Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another – 1John 4:11 (KJV)

Love is the greatest of all the virtues; and is the tool that God used to save the world. Love helps us to bear one another’s burden.

To love one another shows that you are born of God and you know God. Let the love of God in your life flow without struggle, spread love to your wife, husband, children, brethren and family. Do not withhold love but spread love just the scripture tells us because by doing so, there is peace, breakthrough in our lives and in this world.

Spreading love without withholding it means sacrifice by reaching the poor, hungry and thirsty; those that need shelter in the community and in the church as well.

As Christians, our duty is to spread practical love and the word of God to one another. To effectively spread this kind of love we are discussing today, we need to digest the word of God for more understanding. Christ had to die for us in order to redeem us and this He did because He loves mankind.

In return, we are called to reciprocate this love to one another in the community where we find ourselves. The scripture encourages us to do all things in love (1 Corinthians 16:14).

Mentorship and sharing of skills acquired are ways of spreading love in the community. Finally, let all that you do be done in love.

A love giver knows God and is from God.

Prayer Point: Heavenly father of love let your love in me destroy pillars of hatred and envy in my life. Amen
