FEBRUARY 14 THURSDAY
Topic: DON’T MURMUR
Main Text: 1 Corinthians 3:4 – for while one saith, I am of Paul, and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal?
1 Corinthians 3:8 – Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
Murmuring is one sin that attracts immediate judgement of God upon His people. It is a sin that tears the people apart and destroys relationship with God. A murmuring christian digs his grave gradually without knowing it.
Anything that fights unity brings the wrath of God. Murmuring comes with hatred, envy and jealousy that can lead to murder. Those things are more dangerous than a consuming fire. The mindset of segregation in the house of God is not the mind of Christ and Paul said that it is carnal.
Murmuring is the manifestation of carnality. When we begin to fight for positions and recognitions in the house of God, it brings division and the judgement of God upon the people. When there is murmuring, there is little or no prayers and even the prayers are mostly done in carnality.
God wants us to be one as He has made us to be. Let’s serve with assurance that God will reward every man according to his labour. Let’s shun every other thing that destroys the house that we labour to build.
There is no reward in scattering but in building. The heart that is free from murmuring must be holy and always prepared for the Holy Spirit.
A MURMURING HEART IS FULL OF REFUSE.
Prayer Point: Oh God, deal with my heart. Take away the filthiness.
