THE FATHER’S LOVE
MAIN TEXT : JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV).
ROMANS 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: why we are still sinners, Christ died for us. (NIV)
God is our father and He loves us so much because He is love. He demonstrates this to us always, even when our lives are not pleasing to Him.
Adam and Eve were driven out of Eden for their disobedience but the love of a father made God to kill an animal and used the skin to cover their nakedness and from harsh weather. That is a father’s love for his children. He gives the aim free to all, the rain, sun, moon day and night for even those that hate him. It was the father’s love that made God to offer his son Jesus Christ die shamefully to redeem us and sent his power, the Holy Spirit to us. God’s love goes farther than the highest mountain or the deepest sea. Through Jesus, God’s love is demonstrated.
The father’s love is demonstrated through chastisement; because we are sons and not bastards he chastises us (Heb. 12:8; Gen. 1:28) …through promise and security God expresses his love to us, He assures us that He will never leave or forsake us, that as the mountain surrounds Jerusalem, so shall His glory surround us, He promise to fight all our battles while we hold our peace. God equally promise us a home in heaven. As you are reading this today, His love has found you.
If you are not saved, come to Him today and be saved. He is saying, come let us reason together even if your sin is as red as scarlet, I will make you as white as snow and if you are saved, be encouraged and surround all to him for his service.
Let nothing separate you from the father’s love. Whether sickness, lack, tribulations etc. come and abide in God and enjoy the father’s love here and after here on earth.
THE FATHER’S LOVE IS IMMEASURABLE AND INCOMPARABLE.
PRAYER: Oh Lord my God uphold me and shower me with love.
