MARCH 23RD SATURDAY
JESUS THE CHAIN BREAKER
MAIN TEXT: ACTS. 12:7 “And behold the angel of the Lord came upon him and light shined in the prison and he smote Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly and his chains fell off from his hands”.
JOHN 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave clothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
The word “Chain” from the above context connotes bondage, imprisonment, restriction or seizure of freedom.
Two kinds of chain are physical and spiritual bondages. It is not God’s will that man should be in bondage but the devil has established it because it is his ministry. Jn.10:10. From this reason, man who is born into a free world finds himself everywhere in chain. To rescue man, Jesus came to earth to destroy all the evil works of Satan.
In Luke 4:11, Jesus made it known that God anointed and sent him to preach the good news to all, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives and to open the prison to all that are bound. Brethren, where are you in chain? Is it in health challenge, barrenness in marriage, abject poverty, demonic attacks, name it.
I urge you to believe and go to Jesus, make him your Lord and personal saviour, he will set you free from that bondage- Jn. 14:14. In Lk. 13:11-12, Jesus loosed a woman bound and bent from the spirit of infirmity for eighteen years. He set Paul and Silas free from prison- Acts. 16:25-26. He resurrected Lazarus Jn. 11:43. Jesus is able to save you. Only believe, for with God all things are possible-Jer. 32:27.
JESUS IS THE ONLY TRUE ONE CHAIN BREAKER.
