MARCH 24TH, SUNDAY
RISE ABOVE YOUR FEAR
MAIN TEXT: JOHN 14:27. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.
ISAIAH 35:4 : Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
One of the greatest challenges of believers of today is fear. Fear of death, to defend the gospel, to loose position in government and in the secular world. The devil uses fear as an instrument to cause man to disobey God. Fear triggers doubt in man as to whether or not God will be able to deliver him.
Child of God, note that fear destroys faith and without faith, you cannot please or receive from God and that is what Satan wants. If the early believers had lived in fear, the gospel would not have reached out to the entire world.
In Acts 4:19, Peter and John boldly and fearlessly spoke before the rulers, elders and ‘who is who’ in Jerusalem that it is right to obey God than to obey man whenever there is conflict of interest to choose between man and God. In Phil; 1:21, Apostle Paul said that for him to live is Christ and to die is gain.
The bible makes it clearer that you gain nothing to have the whole world and lose your soul- Matt. 16:26. Brethren, it is time for you to establish your sonship right and exercise the power and authority Jesus conferred on you.
ARISE! Overcome fear and doubt, lay hands on the sick and heal them. Cast out demons and overcome all powers of the enemies and nothing will hurt you-Lk. 10:19. Live above your challenges, practice your faith, God is with you.
