HOW CHANGE HAPPENS

Main text: 2ND CORINTHIANS 3:18 (kjv)
“But we all, with, open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord”.

Hebrews 12:2a – “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”.

Change happens through crisis. God changed Jacobs’ name, which means “deceiver” to Israel, which means “a Prince with God”. And he did it through crisis. Realizing he had to go home and face the wrath of his brother Esau, whom he mistreated. Jacob became desperate. That night in his tent, he wrestled with the Angel of the Lord.

And the Change in his life did not come quickly or easily, because we are told he wrestled until day break. But suddenly it dawned on Jacob that he was wrestling with God, and it was a fight he couldn’t win.

Likewise, God will let you wrestle with an issue you cannot resolve, to get your attention.

He will bring you to a place where you must concede, ‘I can’t handle this situation’. It is too big for me, I need God! If that is where you are today, you are on the breakthrough. (Deut 32, 11-12.). A mother- eagle will unpen her nest and push her children off a cliff to teach them how to fly. God will allow crisis in order to get your attention for a change.

LORD, CHANGE MY WRONG ATTITUDE TODAY

Prayer Point:
Oh Lord, transform my life to your Glory in Jesus Name.
