QUIET TIME WITH GOD

QUIET TIME WITH GOD

Main Text: Luke 6:12 – “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray and continued all night in prayer to God”

Psalm 55:17 “Evening, and Morning and at Noon, will I pray, and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice

Quiet time with God means to be alone with the Lord, either to pray to Him, all manner of prayers, to worship Him for whom He is, to praise Him, to pray to Him for one need or another or for the ones He has done. In your quiet time with God, you can hear a small still voice speak to you, but rather God making Himself known to you.

All of a sudden, you know what He is expressing and it settles deep within your heart. You may come to God with a problem in your quiet time and He often asks you to be part of the solution, How? He will give you a lot of revelations, visions and wisdom, on how best to handle those issues confronting you.

Jesus Christ had quiet time with God. Most of His quiet spots are the mountains, wildernesses, and the temple synagogues; He specifically called the temple in Jerusalem the “House of prayer”. Places for our quiet time with God can be our closets, a room designated for that purpose, a corner of our rooms, in the church, in the bush close-by etc.

Keeping a prayer watch in your quiet time at the gate of (mid-night) gives one victory for the day.
