WHAT GROWS IN YOUR MIND?
Main Text: Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”.
Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.”
What grows in your mind shapes your life. The person who thinks positively about himself will, over the course of his life time, do greater things and achieve more of his goals than the person who thinks negatively. People with a positive mindset are able to accomplish amazing things. They are able to make tremendous sacrifices. They are able to endure hardships and resist temptations and distractions.
They are able to succeed in life where others fail. They are not comfortable with mediocrity. 1Peter 1:13 says “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober”. Your mind is such a crucial asset to a victorious life. The mind is so vital that it is the main target of Satan’s attacks in the man. What grows in your mind?
The mind is the eye of the man. The enemy is constantly hunting for your mind. It is the base of his operations. He took over Apostle Peter’s mind and he carried Satan on the spot. Jesus said in Matthew 16:23 “Get thee behind me, Satan”. Peter no longer saw things the way God saw them. He stood against God, in the arm of the flesh.
Every time you find yourself arguing against the word of God, just know that the devil is behind it. Satan’s ministry is to make you a captive, so that you become an enemy of the truth; the devil polluted the mind of the rich fool and God became irrelevant to him. Your mind is a battle-ground. No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
