ALLOW THE TRUTH TO SPEAK

May Day 26 Sunday

ALLOW THE TRUTH TO SPEAK

MAIN TEXT: 1 KINGS 17:24

And the woman said to Elijah, now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the words of the Lord in thy mouth is truth.

John 8:32 – ―And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free‖.

The Bible shares numerous accounts where Christ‘s disciples spoke boldly for others and for the Lord, and we are commanded to do the same. Sharing the gospel with people portrays that we are not ashamed

of the cross. Christ last commandment to His disciples was to ―go and make disciples of all nations‖ (Matthew 28:19).

Is it not amazing how Peter and John responded to the rulers in (Acts 4:13-20)? They were asked by the rulers to get out and never to speak in the name of Jesus anymore. Verse 19 and 20 says, ―They answered them…whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but of what we have heard and seen‖. Can you imagine if Christ’s disciples and other witness chose to disobey this commandment? You and I wouldn’t have known the gospel.

Today, you are commanded to speak the truth without fear. It is a command. (See Acts 18:19). The ball is in your court. Do not struggle to win when you speak or to borrow the assumption of the world. You are only called to speak as it tells with God.

THE TRUTH WILL NOT BE HIDDEN

Prayer Point:

O, Lord my God, give me the boldness to speak the truth at all time, in Jesus name.
