KNOW YOUR CALLING
Roman 12:5-8 So in Christ, we though many, form one body, each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesy, then prophesy in accordance to your faith, If it is serving then serve, if it is teaching then teach; if it is to encourage then give encouragement, if it is giving then give generously, if it is to lead, do it diligently, if it is to show mercy do it cheerfully.
2 Peter 1:10-11 Therefore, my brothers and sisters make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
God created everyone for a purpose and every believer has a calling of God on them. I have heard many Christian saying they don’t know what they are suppose to do. Well you can’t know the function of a product or how to operate it unless you go through the manual written by the manufacturer.
You can’t know your calling unless you go to the one who created you, and the manual is the Bible. The apostles in the bible knew their calling therefore they pushed toward it with all their strength and mind.
Even our Lord Jesus Christ doing His time on earth got to the synagogue in Luke 4:17 before He knew what He was on earth for. It is very imperative for every believer to know their calling, because in it is the fulfillment of life.
2 Corinthian 6:16-17 ” I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they will be my people. Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord” We are the face of God on earth; we can’t just be like any ordinary person. The calling of God is the one that distinguish us from other people. Know your calling and walk in it.
KNOWING YOURSELF IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM.
Prayer : Father in the name of Jesus, open my eyes and heart to know what am to do, and lead me in your way.
