LET GO OF YOUR PAST

June Day 20 Thursday

LET GO OF YOUR PAST.

Isaiah 43:18-19 ” Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past, see I am doing a new thing.”

Ephesians 4:30-31 “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as God forgave you.”

Every human on earth has a past. Past comprises of both favorable and unfavorable event caused by others or done through us. Forgetting the past and moving forward is a big challenge to so many. We need the power of the Holy Spirit who helps us through our infirmities.

The devil knows that if we do not forget the past, it can hinder us from seeing the new things the Lord is doing. 1 John 7:9‖if we confess our sins, he is

faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”.

The devil is the one who reminds us of our past and uses it to stop our fellowship with God. That is why the scripture admonish us and assures us that once we confess our sins; God is just and will forgive.

Remembering the past will hinder your communication with God and will make you feel unworthy to approach God and the devil knows this and will use it against you, remember the devil is the accuser of brethren.. Stand against his plot this time around because the word of God is yea and amen.

Matthew 6:12 “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors”. In this verse Jesus was teaching his disciples, he had to make them know that the level of forgiveness they show others so shall they also receive. Do you want God to forgive you completely, Forgive that neighbor, sister, brother, mother, Uncle, and friend that do you wrong. Remember for we all have sin and come short of the glory of God at one point. Get your forgiveness by forgiving. Forgive so you can be forgiven.

LET GO AND LET GOD.

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus grant me the grace to forgive and help me not remember my past (Amen).
