FILL MY CUP LORD
Main Text: Psalm 63:1 –O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you, my soul thirst for you, my body longs for you in dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psalm 84:2 – My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the Living God.
Fill my cup is a prayer from a heart that is hungry for God and it should be the earnest prayer of every serious minded Christian. You cannot do anything worthy for the kingdom of God in your own strength. This prayer is a recognition of deep emptiness in us and we realize that only God himself can close it up, hence we cry ‘fill my cup, Lord’. Only when we thirst for God, will He fill us.
God will not waste his power on people that cannot use it appropriately. And you cannot do God’s work without His power through the Holy Spirit. If you want to experience satisfaction in your walk with God, you must be filled with the power of God, His grace and wisdom.
Don’t be content with where you are now, it is not enough.
There is still opportunity up for those that will dare to go deeper and higher. At every level, there is an opportunity to go higher. We are still working towards perfection. We must constantly remain focused on Him so that His searchlight will always reveal the areas we need to improve on.
We are still a work in progress. For any man to be of use to God, he must be connected with God’s purpose for him.
GET CONNECTED TO GOD TODAY FOR HIM TO FILL YOU UP.
Prayer Point: Heavenly Father, I ask that you fill me up with your power, wisdom and grace, in Jesus name.
