EXALT MY HORN

EXALT MY HORN

Main text: 1 SAMUEL 2:1 – And Hannah prayed and said, my heart rejoiceth in the Lord, my horn is exalted in the Lord, my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies because I rejoice in thy salvation.

PSALM 92:10 – But my horn shall thou exalt like that of a unicorn, I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Horn represents your dignity as a living being. It is given to us by God through the Holy Spirit. Horn can be referred to our spiritual or physical well-being such as our Christian walk with God, marriage, business, career etc. whenever God intervenes in any of the these areas mentioned above, it is said that God has exalted our horn.

Our main text is about the prayer of Hannah – was a barren woman whom has co-wife ridiculed and mocked because of her condition. Time came when she persevered in prayer and God intervened in her case. Her horn was exalted when God turned removed the reproach from her life and turned her story to glory – the child, Samuel, grew up to become a great prophet and a judge in the land of Israel.

David was a shepherd boy, tending to his father’s sheep; when God lifted him, he was promoted from being a shepherd boy to the King of Israel. Also, Joseph’s horn was exalted in a strange land. His brothers hated him because of the dreams of success he had and for his father’s special love for him. They sold him to slavery but God exalted his horn and took him from the prison to become the Prime Minister of Egypt.

.

Just as our patriarch, the Lord exalted their horns eventually. Beloved, obey and serve God diligently in righteousness and God of all grace will exalt your horn.

‘OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD WILL CAUSE THE HAND OF GOD TO MOVE AND EXALT YOUR HORN.

Prayer point: Oh God, exalt my horns in due season’.
