FORGIVE AND MOVE ON

FORGIVE AND MOVE ON

Main text: MARK 11:25 – And when you stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive your trespasses.

COLOSSIANS 3:13 – Forebearing one another and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

To forgive is to decide to reject the feeling of resentment between you and a person who
wronged you. Forgiveness is a term used to indicate pardon for a fault or mistake committed by someone. It means to end the feeling of animosity towards a person or people for an offense committed.

It signifies the liberation of that person from guilt and its consequences. It usually comes as an act of unmerited favour, compassion or love; with the aim of restoring a broken relationship. Indeed, forgiveness can be costly and painful, nevertheless, God demands that we forgive because He forgave us, and He continues to do so today.

Beloved, when you forgive, you experience indescribable joy and peace that would not come any other way. It is the will of God that you forgive your neighbours that hurt you, abuse and disappoint you. God wants us to forgive and let go of all the hurt though it may tough to do (Jeremiah 31:34).

Forgiveness is not about the fellow who offended you, it is about you and Forgiveness is not about the fellow who offended you, it is about you and your relationship with God. Forgiveness leads to peace, reconciliation healing, unity, progress, joy, prosperity and answered prayers.

‘LET THE LOVE OF GOD RADIATE THROUGH YOU TO OTHERS’

Prayer point: God, make me a person of peace and help me to forgive easily.
