MY SUCCESS IS INEVITABLE
Main text: 1 Kings 2:3 – “keep the charge the Lord your God, keep his Statutes, His commandment…that you may prosper in all that you do…”
Mark 12:30-31 “…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength…”
King David when he was about to die, gave his son Solomon the following advice. “Do what the Lord your God commands and follow His teachings. Obey everything written in the law of Moses, then you will be a success, no matter what you do or where you go”.
Solomon took his father’s advice to heart, at least for most part of his reign. This was why, when he became King, he did not ask the Lord for wealth and power but for wisdom and discernment in order to lead God’s people.
The world defines success mainly by measuring the amount of wealth, power and popularity a person obtains in the world. This definition of success is deceptive and tragic because it is focused on what is transient and ignores what is lasting and eternal. God’s recipe for success is all that we need and can be found in Joshua 1:8.
God calls us to walk in wisdom, loving Him with all our heart for us to achieve good success. As we go through troubles and hard times which the bible calls trials, we are able to endure because we are assured that our success is inevitable.
TRUE SUCCESS IS ACHIEVED WHEN BIBLICAL RECIPE IS FOLLOWED
