THE LORD IS WITH ME
MAIN TEXT: Genesis 28:15 Beloved, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go…for I will not leave you
Matthew 28:20…Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
The process of our acquisition by our Lord was accomplished long ago. The accomplishment was perfected when He redeemed man by dying on the cross. The redemption of man brought us to be one with God and His Spirit came into our spirit to live and guide us.
Practically, we become those who are filled with His presence. We can then authoritatively declare that the Lord is with us through evidences and manifestations of His great mercies.
We have been called to an uninterrupted and continuous fellowship with the Lord, called to fix my mind’s attention and my heart’s affection on the Lord(1 Chronicles 22:19, Colossians 3:1). We must flee every spiritually dulling activity and pursue all that makes me vitally sensitive to God’s appearances in the world and His word.
We must move away every distraction to be able to remain in His love and presence.
As we constantly direct our minds God-ward in all our experiences, throwing off everything that hinders us and the entanglement of sin, I am assured that the Lord will be with us all the days of our life.
I AM CONFIDENT THAT THE LORD IS WITH ME BECAUSE HE SAID SO AND HE CANNOT FAIL ME
Prayer: O Lord, open my eyes and pull back the curtains of my own blindness to realize your presence in me.
