GOD OVER OUR STORMS
MAIN TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms.
Job 42:5 – I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.
The popular idea that bad things happen because we are being punished is contrary to what God says. God indicates that troubles can be a badge of honour for the Christian. Through them we can see that God is at work in us to produce the patience that James said would help us become mature, lacking nothing(James 1:4).
God created the whole world out of nothing, He can certainly protect us in times of difficult situations.
Whenever we are threatened by circumstances or feel that the forces against us are too much, we can take comfort knowing that God’s protective shield is stronger than the storm of our life.
As God’s children, we should put our faith in His mighty defense as we do His will, God has the ability to calm all manners of storms.
Beloved, hear what the Spirit of God is saying to you, “I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” – Isaiah 41:10. Just as a small child trusts his father in the face of his little challenges, so we can hide ourselves in God’s security, clinging unto Him for protection and believing firmly that He is truly the God over our storms.
GOD IS THE PERFECT SECURITY OVER LIFE’S STORMS
Prayer: I rebuke every storms in my life and I command the peace of God to reign in those circumstances in Jesus name. Amen
