WHAT ABOUT YOUR WORDS?

Main Text: Ephesians 4:29
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good for the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers”.

Proverbs 13:3 – “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction”.

If we want to start seeing the power of God manifest in our lives, we have to start paying attention to what we say. Don’t over estimate the power of words. Satan doesn’t. He works constantly to get you to turn them to a negative direction, so as to use them as a weapon against us. Words have creative power, just as God demonstrated it during creation, we also have been given the authority to do the same thing here on earth.

Ignorantly, most believers at one time or another have been hurt by their tongue. Our words can put smile on someone’s face or bring tears. We can encourage one another with the words we speak or crush the hope and dreams of others. The number of words we speak may not matter but the kind of words we speak and the purpose for which we speak or use them.

Speaking faith filled words is God’s way to bring things into existence. Therefore, as the year begins, determine to take control of your life by getting control of your tongue. Refuse to speak anything other than the word of God about your life or situation, and then watch

Prayer : Lord help me daily to have control over the words of my mouth. Let them be seasoned with grace in Jesus name!
