MAIN TEXT: Proverbs 23:12 – Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.
Proverbs 16:20 – Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.
Showing an act of kindness to a random stranger, not repaying evil with evil, making love your greatest watchword and mantra, living a generous life, being willing to offer help to people in need are selfless acts that do not cost the giver a dime but can go a long way in the life of the receiver. We live in a world full of inhumane acts but we must change our mindset.
We should not be found repeating the circle of wrong doings by doing someone wrong because we were hurt. To break that evil circle of wrong doings, we must agree to pay back with good to those that despitefully hurt us. But we can’t do this if we do not transform our minds through the word of God. Just like this scriptural quote “It is more blessed to give than to receive”, to the mind that is yet to be transformed will not comprehend the truth in that gospel.
In all things, we should strive to be the best version of ourselves than we can be, despite our inevitable flaws. No one loves to be with a liability, neither does anyone like to be friends with a fool. The best of you is seen as you walk with God day by day, He will polish and refine you.
