NO REST FOR THE WICKED 1

NO REST FOR THE WICKED 1

MAIN TEXT: ISAIAH 48:22

“There is no peace” says my “God for the wicked” (NAS)

JOB 21:30

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? They shall be brought forth to the day of wrath. (AKJV)

Who is the wicked? The wicked is any person who does not love, honor and obey the word of God. The man is controlled by the devil rather than the spirit of God. Today’s topic calls for reflection. The word of God says, love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and all that you are and have. Do you prefer handmade and powerless gods to your creator? If yes, then you are wicked.

The word of God says love your neighbor as yourself. Check your self, do you love that person next to you as yourself or do you hate, and imagine all manner of evil against him or her? If you do that, it is wickedness. Our God is merciful, that is why even while we were yet sinners, he showed us love and mercy by sacrificing his only begotten Son for our redemption.

The big question is do you show mercy to others? Do you prefer your job, business or the comfort of your home watching your cable messages to fellowshipping with brethrens as God has directed? Most importantly, what is your reaction when you see the unsaved soul; do you feel nonchalant about their salvation? God expects you to introduce them to his word (Jesus Christ) to them that they might be saved. It is not the wish of God to destroy us with the wicked, today is an opportunity to change for good.

PRAY TO HAVE THE GOODNESS AND KINDNESS OF GOD

Prayer – I refuse to show any kind of wickedness in my life. My life shall bless and encourage lives in Jesus’ name
