BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR AUTHORITY
1 John 4:4 “…. He who is in you is greater than he who is in theworld”.
Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…
Authority here is a reflection of the power, wisdom and love of God. Today’s topic therefore is a call for a child of God to be aware of their ability to flow with the power of God working in him through Christ Jesus. Therefore are a lot of potentialities deposited in us by God, which we often neglect. The bible makes it clear that the devil doesn’t stand a chance in our lives because the spirit in us is greater than he is. Christ came to destroy the works of the devil through His life, ministry and sacrifice.
When we fail to overcome temptation, resist the devil or tackle the enemy head-on, we deviate from the straight path God would have us follow, when we indulge in self-pity, there by disappointing God, all because we fail to realize that “He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world”, is an indication that we are not conscious of our authority in God.
Jesus assures us that He has already overcomes the world. When we are conscious of our authority then nothing can be so strong as to be able to side- track us if we are conscious of our positions in the Lord, we can always be overcome.
STAND FIRM AND TELL THE DEVIL THAT HE IS A DEFEATED FOE.
Prayer: Oh God, help me to always exercise the authority in me always. I refuse to be defeated by satan.
