BE FULL OF FAITH 1

BE FULL OF FAITH 1

MAIN TEXT: The Lord said to Abram, “Get out of your country from your family and your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.

Genesis 12:4a – So Abram departed as the Lord has spoken

Faith is an affectionate practical confidence in the testimony of God. It could also mean belief, firm persuasion, assurance and firm conviction. Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance that the Lord is working even though we cannot see it. Faith knows that no matter what the situation in our lives that God is working in it.

The call of Abraham is an important event in the old testament but it is also an eminent example of individual faith. For both reasons, he is called “the father of the faithful”. Father Abraham, as a man full of faith obeyed the divine voice of command and promise. He was not told the destination of the journey but he believed that God will not lead him into trouble.

God could not have achieved His purpose for him if he had not yielded and demonstrated this level of faith. At the end, Abraham benefited much more because he believed in the God that cannot disappoint. He became the custodian of man’s wealth and blessings because a man like him, left idolatry and worshipped the only True God. He left his people because God instructed him, knowing that they might influence or distract him from worshipping and benefitting from that divine covenant.

GOD DOES NOT FORSAKE THOSE WHO FORSAKE OTHER SATANIC WAYS TO FOLLOW HIM

PRAYER: My God, I am confident in you and I trust the journey with you. Lead me and I will follow you to the end.
