WORSHIP GOD IN TRUTH

Main Text: John 4:23 – But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him

John 4:24 – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

All that we do as Christians culminates in worship to God, if they are done expressly to please Him. Worshiping God in truth requires that we have a large dose of his fear in us. Before you can worship God in truth, you must have known and accepted Him. God does not need you to impress him. He desires you to sincerely offer your sacrifice of praise to him.

This worship comes through recognition of who God really is. When Jesus asked his disciples what people thought of him, he actually was not interested in what the people thought but he wanted the disciples to identify their relationship with him.True worship requires honesty. You must recognize and accept God for who he is.

True worship emanates from a sincere heart towards God. Don’t pay lip service to God. He knows even before you engage in it. A heart that is filled with love for God only produces true and genuine worship. This love is a product of a personal relationship which is borne out of a personal acknowledgement of the personality of God.

For us to come to that level of personal acknowledgement, we must take that decision of coming close to him. Drawing close to Him, helps us to develop a greater awareness of his presence.

TRUE WORSHIP DRAWS US CLOSER TO GOD

Prayer: Lord, I pray that I will worship you in truth in all that I do, in Jesus name.
