LOVE IS THE BEST ANOINTING

Main Text: 1 Corinthians 13:13 – And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Peter 4:8 – And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Nothing affects a person quicker than an attitude of love and kindness. The degree of progress recorded so far in the spread of the gospel has been made possible by show of love. Love for mankind made Jesus to die for our redemption. It attracted us to God and it’s the same love that can attract others into the kingdom of God.

Each passing day, ask God to help you develop surpassing love for yourself and others because that’s what his word instructs us to. The more time you give to someone, the more you reveal their importance to you. From our main text, we could see that faith and hope can fail. The faith of Peter failed him at some point while he was walking on water to meet Jesus but love which is the greatest of them all does not fail.

It was the love that Jesus had for us that made him to offer his son as a propitiation for our sin. The love of God does not harbour selfishness rather it thinks of others. Love is how much you give of yourself to another. Love helps us to accept people just the way they are. It is love that will make you to forgo your appointment so as to win a soul for God.

Love compels you to walk in obedience to the commands of God. Love concentrates so intently on another that it forgets itself. Love is what drives you to reach the perishing soul. It melts the hardened heart and enflames the coldest soul.

LOVE IS THE TOOL TO DRAW MORE SOULS INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Prayer: My Lord, fill my heart with love for you and others in Jesus name.
