PEACE, THE GOD’S WAY

Main Text: John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.

Psalm 29:11 – The Lord gives strength to his people, the Lord blesses his people with peace.

We have to begin with the truth that the peace of God is possible when there is a mutual relationship between us and Jesus Christ. You see, when there is hostility between you and God, you make yourself a loser. When we leave in perpetual sin, we make ourselves the enemies of God. Raising family without Christ is like building a house on a sinking ground.

Peace is a state of tranquility or quietness of spirit that transcends circumstances. The term peace is described in scripture as a gift from God and congruent with His character. If God is peace, then to know God is to bask in His peace. The closer we draw to Him, the more of His peace we can enjoy. Worry is the enemy of peace. When we choose worry rather than faith, we cannot live in peace.

Jesus Christ warned us about fear and worry. Luke 12:29. God offers peace in the midst of chaos. His peace doesn’t change with the circumstances; it is secure in spite of the circumstances. Refuse to be upset, aggravated and frustrated. Put your trust in God.

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT GOD IS MIGHTY.

Prayer: I receive the peace of the Lord in every battles of my life and as I draw strength from God, I will remain victorious in Jesus name.
