LAUGHTER IS A CURE
Main text: Proverbs 17:22 – A cheerful heart is a good medicine; But a broken spirit drieth up the bones.
Proverbs 15:30 – The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart; and good tidings make the bones fat.
As paracetamol is headache so is laughter to a sad heart. As we live in the times when it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid being sad. The trend of bad news and tragedy on the news and economic downturn that leave people with more debt than they can manage is enough reason to cause people’s heart to be broken.
Maintaining a positive attitude despise the challenge guarantees peace of mind. When your mind is at peace, you think and plan better. A peaceful mind communicates better with God. Laughter is one of the antidotes that helps promote calmness and peace of mind. Laugh and reminiscence on the good times and encourage yourself in the Lord that all shall be well soon.
There are illnesses that laugher and a peaceful mind help to cure. Depression, despair and despondency are all examples of such illnesses. These illnesses damage your emotion and cause pain to some body parts. Studies have shown the efficacy of laughter and a cheer spirit.
Don’t move around and act as if the weight of the whole world is on your shoulders. That is a lie from the pit of help. As a child of God, God is actually carrying your challenges and problems on his mighty shoulders because he cares for you. Laughter is a good mental and psychological exercise that helps balance your emotions and give you a good outlook on situations.
