BEAR IT FOR A GLORIOUS CROWN

Main text: 2 Timothy 4:7- 8– I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day.

Matthew 19: 29–And everyone that hath forsaken houses or brethren or sister or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my name sake, shall inherit everlasting life.

Beloved of God, Apostle Paul and others like Elijah, Elisha, Abraham and orders have run their course and are now seen as great examples to us. Strive to make it a glorious one by emptying yourself of all the talents God has deposited in you. Our God is a benevolent God, who gives generous rewards for good deeds. In Hebrews 11: 6, he is called a great builder of them that diligently seek him. Thank God that Jesus was very clear on what would be our reward when Peter asked him. Jesus assuredly affirmed that all our labels in his Kingdom would be adequately rewarded here and here after.

The Old Testament shows how God rewarded our founders of Christian faith. Abraham is a good example of this. He got a child of promise in old age as a reward for being hospitable – Genesis 18. To the widow of Zeraphath, God provided her with food for three and half years during a time of famine because she gave her last meal to God’s prophet (1 kings 17:9-15). Obed-Edom the Hittite accommodated the Ark of God in his house and within three months, he was blessed of the Lord.

Our God is the greatest reader for service and he gives without withholding. Therefore, I encourage you to serve him with all your heart and serve his diligently and in due season, you shall be rewarded greatly. Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9)

HE THAT COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THEM THAT DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.

Prayer: Father in heaven, Help me to empty myself in serving you, knowing that you are a wonder in Jesus name. Amen
