STOLEN WATER IS SWEET 2

Main text: Proverbs 5:16 – “Drink water from your own cistern and running water from your own well”

2 Timothy 2:22 – “Flee also youthful lust, but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of pure heart.”

One of the most pronounced areas the devil fights the integrity of Christians today both youths and adults is their sexual relationships. God expects us to show integrity in sexual relationship. For God wants you to be holy and pure and to keep clear of all sexual sin so that each of us will marry in holiness and honor. And Paul warns that we should “Flee sexual immorality” because when we do not, we sin against our body.

Stolen water has with it wounds, dishonor and reproaches not wiped out in life. Many people especially youths have toyed with sin, particularly sexual immorality and as a result have ruined their lives and their future. As Christian youths, you are admonished not to be involved in any sexual sin. Abstinence is the best option before marriage. This is the will of God (1 Corinthians 6:8)

Stolen water ironically is sweet which implies bitter. We must follow the good example of Joseph, the son of Jacob (Gen) we should learn to say NO to sexual immorality.. We should severely cut all relationships that can lead us into sexual immorality. Hebrews 13:4 -“Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”

NO LEGACY IS AS RICH AS INTEGRITY- HAPPINESS IS FOUND IN SAYING NO TO SIN

Prayer: Help me dear Lord to stay off sexual immorality, heal me from the wounds and deliver me from such demonic influences
