THURSDAY, DECEMBER 24
CHRIST IS THE KING
Main text: John 18:37a – You are a king, then! Said Pilate. Jesus answered; you say that I am a king.
Revelation 17:14 – These shall make war with the lamp and the lamp shall overcome them,for he is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings and they that are with him are called and chosen and faithful.
Hallelujah to the King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Jesus Christ is the eternal King. His throne and Kingdom is everlasting. He was, he is, and he will remain the first under Last King. Every other King and Kingdom will pass away at the fullness of time.
The Jewish leaders and chief priests brought Jesus Christ to be judged and condemned by Pilate but when Pilate discovered that Jesus Christ is the King, he knew that he had no authority to condemn him.
Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus Christ – Hebrews 12:2 And fix our thoughts upon him – Hebrews 3:1. We live in a world where the King of Kings has come but millions of persons are unaware that he is present. Jesus Christ needs to be the King of your soul first.
How do you relate with the King of Kings? Is there a public celebration of Christ in your life or you don’t want people around you to identify him in your life? Serve the King with dignity and cheerfulness. It pays a whole lot to serve the only eternal King Jesus Christ.
