GRACE THROUGH FAITH
MAIN TEXT – EPHESIANS 2:8 ‘for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God’;
Ephesians 2:13 – ‘for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God’;
God’s grace can be described as God’s unlimited kindness or God’s unmerited favour or God’s enabling power. This grace makes us children of God through Jesus Christ and helps us to live the Christian life we need. The grace of God intervenes in our Christian walk by virtue of our faith – Hebrews 11:6 read that without faith, no one can please God and whoever goes to God must believe that God is and rewards them that sincerely seek Him.
Therefore by faith in God, we receive power and increase in strength – Isaiah 40:29. The woman with the issue of blood demonstrated her faith by touching the cloth of Jesus Christ and immediately was healed – Matthew 9:21-22.
Faith is at the centre of a believer’s relationship with God. Beloved, it is not always all about God but your faith is required too. Grace is the gift of God but to receive this gift, we must apply faith to use the gift the way the gift of grace was designed. Some many people have received grace but without faith in them, the grace is underused.
This enabling power of God commands supernatural evidence to a person’s life and empowers for extraordinary works. I pray that God releases this special grace upon you for signs and wonders this year and beyond. The saving grace guarantees divine security of our souls in Christ Jesus.
