SEEKING TO FIND

MAIN TEXT – Luke 19:3-4 ‘And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature. And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.’

Luke 19:5 – Hurry down, Zacchaeus because I must stay in our house today.

Of all creation, God loves human beings more. He kept company with Adam in the Garden of Eden before the sin of Adam and Eve brought separation – Genesis 3:6. God sent Jesus Christ to reconcile us to God – John 3:16. God will not hesitate to welcome anyone who seeks to return to Him. Jesus did not only accept Zacchaeus but also lodged in His house.

Brethren, God wants to be your visitor today. Do you seek after Him? God made a promise in John7:7 that whoever asks shall receive, and anyone who seeks shall find and that the door would be opened to him that knocks. Brethren, seek God in prayer because prayer is the way to discuss with God. What do you seek or ask God to do in your life? Go to Him with faith, knock at the door of your heavenly father in prayer, He will surely open the door for you. God knows His word more than His name.

Seek Him in spirit and in truth. Put your faith to work which is what Zacchaeus did, he climbed the sycamore tree seeking to behold Jesus. A man like Nicodemus went by night to seek Jesus Christ and he found Christ. Today is your turn; do not allow salvation slip off your hands.

GO EXTRA MILE IN SEEKING GOD, DO NOT STOP HALF WAY

Prayer: O Lord, shine your light on my path and let me behold your glory in Jesus name, Amen.
