GREENER PASTURES ARE YOURS
MAIN TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 28:2 – and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God.
PSALM 23:2 – He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters.
Life on earth is unpredictable and therefore needs divine direction and focus in other to succeed. Your background does not determine your status in the race of life but your trust and obedience to the voice of God. In John 15:5, Jesus Christ made it clear that unless you abide in Him and He abides in you, you cannot have good success.
Beloved, we must never give up our hope in God even when storms and trials arise. It is true that the world is unpredictable but you have a God who has planned this world and knows the end from the beginning. This same God, promises greener pasture for you, Alleluia! Our faith must be tested and God allows it. Job passed through hard times but he stood firmly on God’s word and trusted Him till the end.
Consider the testimony of Job; ‘ So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses’. Job 42:12
Jabez was another man who did not allow his background to determine his life. He opened up in prayers with reverence and trust in God, he demanded that God would bless him and grant him much greener pastures. God answered him – 1 Chronicles 4:9-10.
Beloved, your greener pastures await you. Learn from Jabez and Job, live to trust God because only His greener pastures are ever green.
