TEN MEN; SAME PROBLEM BUT DIFFERENT ATTITUDE

MAIN TEXT: LUKE 17: 14-15 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice.

Proverbs 17:22 – A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.

Facing and living with challenges are part of the existence of man in this world but our attitude towards the challenges and hurdles of life makes the difference. It is a wonder seeing a poor family, full of joy and praising God while the rich family keeps complaining of not having enough to enjoy life.

Here is a biblical story of ten lepers, they all suffered the same problem, prayed the same prayers, prayed to the same God but had different attitude towards the issue. They had trouble getting food or shelter. They were struggling to survive. Verse 12 tells us that they stood at a distance. They could not go near other people even stood far from Jesus. They wished to return to their homes with their families. And no steady work and good meals.

When they saw Jesus Christ, the miracle expected took place but one out of the ten was a better human being because he returned to appreciate Christ and this act, got him all other things he desired more than others. Don’t destroy your good relationship for little favors, the best is always ahead.

GOD COULD BE WAITING FOR A CHANGE OF ATTITUDE, TO DEAL WITH YOUR CHALLENGES

Prayer: God give me the mindset of positive attitude and make me to be patiently grateful in Jesus’ name.
