UNBELIEF IS A SIN
MAIN TEXT: PSALMS 78:21-22
The LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; because they believed not in God, and trusted not in His salvation. (AKJV)
2 KINGS 7:2
Then a lord on whose hand the King leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, behold, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat thereof. (AKJV)
Unbelief is a sin against God. It means that you do not have faith or trust in God, His servants or yourself. You must not allow the spirit of unbelief to possess you because it makes one not to trust God, and His Word – Jesus Christ.
The book of Hebrews 11:6, tells us that before we come to God, we must believe that God exists and believe in what Jesus Christ did on the cross without which it is impossible to please God. If you don’t believe, there is no way you can obey, because you cannot obey who you do not believe in. God says that disobedience is a sin of witchcraft.
If you want to prosper and be established, you must not allow unbelief to find its way into your heart but believe absolutely in God, His Word, His Power and His servant(s). Unbelief will make a person not to understand exactly who he is in Christ Jesus. Unbelief made the Lord on whose hand the King leaned to miss his 24 hour miracle of abundance at the gate of Samaria as prophesied by the man of God; Elijah in 2 Kings 7:2, which led to his death in verse 17.
Unbelief made the children of Israel to doubt God’s ability to take them safely from Egypt to Canaan, the Promised Land; hence they murmured against God and His servant and made gods for themselves.
UNBELIEF IS A DESTROYER, DEAL WITH IT BEFORE IT DESTROYS YOU
PRAYER: You spirit of unbelief, I reject and cast you out of my life and I receive the winning faith in the name of Jesus. Amen!
