BAPTISM OF FIRE
MAIN TEXT: ACTS 2:3 ‘’ They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them’’.
Act 2:4 – ‘’All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.’’
Someone prayed, ‘set me on fire oh Lord, I want to live my life pleasing you, in every way; Set me on fire dear Lord, that the world may see me, burn for you.’’ Every one of us should make this prayer top on our list of prayer requests, today. Time is short. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The zeal for our Father’s work should consume us.
Whatever you are doing in the house of God should be done in a state of urgency. No mediocrity. No laxity. The bible tells us, ‘Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men…’ (2 Corinthians 5:11).
Get up from your slumber. Those found sleeping when the master comes will have no one but themselves to blame. The clock is ticking; time is running out! We are in the last days and the kingdom of God is near. The startling signs foretelling the second coming of Christ are happening all over the world.
Now, more than ever, the gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be preached with unction and zeal to all and sundry. Like Ezekiel, we have been made watchmen over our sphere of influence. We are to urgently declare the word of salvation. We need the Baptism of fire of the Holy Ghost to burn in our hearts, if we must accomplish this task.
ASK FOR THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST AFRESH.
Prayer: Mighty God, baptize me with a fresh fire so I can burn for you
