ALONE WITH GOD PROFITS
MAIN TEXT: PSALM 16:11
“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy, at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”.
Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”.
Choosing to be alone with God profits and it is wisdom because it guarantees joy, peace, love and everlasting satisfaction. Therefore, if you are wise, you will always seek to be alone with God. The psalmist wrote in Psalm 91:1, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
We can be alone with God in prayers (meditation), worship, and thanksgiving etc, all to the glory of God and He will reward us, as we diligently seek Him. One of the things you need to keep Satan under your feet is to be alone with God which means spending quality time with God. Beloved you have the same amount of time as anybody else. We all have equal allotment of time, twenty-four hours a day, no more, no less, and we all spend it on something.
In the secret place of His presence, He hides us from the plots of evil men, and from strife of tongues (psalm 31:20). Most of our Bible Patriarchs like Hannah (1Sam1:10-13), Esther (Esther 4:16), Daniel (Daniel 6:10) etc, were alone with God especially during their time of trials and had breakthroughs.
GOD LOOKS TO SEE WHO SEEKS OR DESPERATELY REQUIRES HIS PRESENCE.
Prayer: King of Glory, help me to spend more time with you and receive your blessings of peace, security, protection. Amen.
